We live off-grid, on our 40 foot sailboat (currently in the Florida Keys). Our floating home is self-sufficient with solar panels, lithium iron phosphate batteries, an electric motor, reverse osmosis desalination watermaker and all of the comforts of most homes - even a washing machine. We needed to be able to operate our watermaker, which includes a 1hp motor. Startup, with the watermaker connected to the inverter, would trip the breaker on our distribution panel, requiring us to power the process with a portable generator, until we learned about the GS11 Soft Starter. Let me tell you - we are able to run the watermaker, using our lithium batter bank, as though we were connected to shore power. No glitches, no hiccups, no issues at all. The GS11 is super simple to use. You just plug it into the three-pronged outlet and then plug in your appliance to the GS11. No instructions or wiring needed. We couldn't be happier with the unit and the life-sustaining functionality it gives us for living off-the-grid. It is one of the most important pieces of equipment we have on our boat, affording us the ability to make drinkable water. Thanks, Raymond Innovations for such a great solution that is made in the USA!!
It's always hook on my inverter for power tool no more kick of throttle. My inverter run super smooth can start a drop saw at the same time my compressor running 3000 Honda inverter
And it does exactly what they said it would do. Machine doesn't slam on anymore. Much easier on the belts and rotating parts.
We needed a way to start a chop saw with a universal motor on remote jobsites. Previously, the inrush current from the saw was so high that a 50 ampere circuit breaker was required, even though the FLA of the saw is only 15 amperes. This soft starter was the answer! We have NEVER tripped a circuit breaker while starting the saw since we installed this simple "plug and play" product.
Good morning. I just wanted to reach out to let you know that you guys have a fantastic product! I'm not sure if you have seen/heard about the new onboard generators in the F150s or not, but it's incredible. Mine has 7,200 watts available for tools, campers, etc. When I found out my concrete core drill wouldn't work due to the high in rush current, I was pretty bummed. That's where you guys come along. Your GS11 starter saved the day! I can now officially run every tool on my jobsites, without a stand alone generator! Keep doing what you guys are doing, your product rocks! -John
